Donald Trump Heads a Government Of, By, and For Billionaires. They're Stealing from the Rest of Us.
Donald Trump appointed thirteen billionaires to head government agencies. Many paid huge contributions to his campaign. Billionaire-owned media organizations make sure his administration gets favorable coverage. His #1 ally is the world's richest man, Elon Musk, who owns Twitter/X and led DOGE.
Billionaires profit from policies that cost the rest of us money. To fund tax breaks for the rich, Trump has driven up the cost of everyday goods through tariffs, and cut staffing and resources for programs that serve the rest of us: Social Security, Medicaid, the National Weather Service, and programs like cancer research.
The middle class and lower-income households are hit especially hard by tariffs and program cuts. People who count on essential government services like Social Security will face severe challenges. Tariffs will cost families an extra $3,370 per year - and crush millions of small businesses.
Ordinary Americans are fighting back. The Tesla Takedown movement has been extremely effective in bringing attention to Musk's role in dismantling key government programs. The "Fight Oligarchy" tour by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanderz has drawn huge crowds. And some small business owners have taken the administration to court to try to reverse the punishing tariffs.
It's time for the people to take back the country.
What can you do? Join in a Tesla Takedown event, and don't do business with Trump's billionaire collaborators. Don't buy from Tesla, Starlink, Amazon, or Uline. Cancel your accounts and subscriptions with Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, the Washington Post, the LA Times. Avoid Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. And in the next election, vote for candidates who elevate ordinary people over the billionaires.
